Julian's current interests include the management, treatment and the establishment of multidisciplinary clinics for lysosomal storage diseases and also carrying out a Review of Bone Marrow Transplant and MPS I at The Hospital for Sick Children.
Short Bio:
Julian Raiman undertook basic medical training at the London Hospital Medical College, graduating through the University of London in 1992.
Thereafter his paediatric training took place through posts in a variety of the London teaching hospitals, other hospitals within the UK South Thames Deanery and included a one year fellowship at the Children’s Hospital Westmead, Sydney, Australia in 1997.
In 2001 he successfully completed an MSc in Clinical Paediatrics at the Institute of Child Health, London with a research project focused on mitochondrial liver disease.
His metabolic training was completed here at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto as Departmental Fellow in the Division of Clinical and Metabolic Genetics 2002-2004; before being appointed as Consultant in Paediatric Metabolic Medicine at the Evelina Children’s Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London UK in July 2004.
Julian rejoined the Division of Clinical and Metabolic Genetics as Clinician Specialist in February 2007.
